culture

My understanding of culture always felt very abstract.

I grew up in a world where I didn’t feel my sense of belonging because I never quite felt grounded in my identity. In who I was. But I always felt connected to my senses and to my environment. It was and still is my guide to navigating my landscapes and the people in it.

I believe if we are to create a strong Australian culture, then we do it with the guidance of those who understand and live culture better than anyone.

Australia had a well established thriving Indigenous culture, long before it was colonised. Culture was and remains today the glue that holds their people together. Indigenous culture is connected through language, kin, law, land and ceremony. It is what gives them their sense of identity and their feeling of belonging to be whole in their person, and to stay strong as a people.

As we go forward in these rocky times, we will need to establish an Australian identity to give us a shared vision of strength, unity and trust embedded in how we value our understanding of culture.

Appreciating all stages of Live

Each stage of our living is no more or less valuable. They are distinct and vital to our growth.

You have to earn your place. Know your Mind. Be an example of self-respect. Live with the right conduct through the understanding of structure, rules/laws, boundaries and the practice of responsibility (disciplined Mind). Live with gratitude and appreciation. Be proud of your achievements - as an inward feeling - and how that is carried through in shaping your culture long after you are gone.
